  • New nomenclature Document Type – used to define service attribute
  • Vendor new fields – sworn translator, interpreter. Used for better filtering of vendors when service is certification family or interpretation family
  • Small fixes and minor adjustments
  • New invoice document type – Receipt. Used when office customer is a person who`s not require accounting document, it is used to track project and services as paid.
  • Users can now search items by any character within the option text (not only from the beginning) at Service and Task popup window for any list.

New Features Explained

  • Document Type (new nomenclature)
    A new field called Document Type is introduced. It is used to define an additional attribute for services.
  • Vendor New Fields
    Vendors now have two new flags:
    • Sworn Translator
    • Interpreter
      These flags improve vendor filtering when assigning tasks for Certification or Interpretation services.

How It Works (Scenarios)

Scenario A – Certification Services

  • If a service type is marked as Is Certification, and a vendor for the given language pair is flagged as a Sworn Translator, that vendor will be listed first when assigning the task.
  • If no sworn translator is available, the system will list non-sworn translators instead.

Scenario B – Interpretation Services

  • If a service type is marked as Is Interpretation, and a vendor for the given language pair is flagged as an Interpreter, that vendor will be listed first when assigning the task.
  • If no interpreter is available, the system will list non-interpreters instead.

Scenario C – Other Services

  • If the service type is not marked as Is Certification or Is Interpretation, the vendor flags Sworn Translator and Interpreter are ignored during filtering.

In short:

  • Certification services → prioritize sworn translators.
  • Interpretation services → prioritize interpreters.
  • All other services → vendor flags are not used in filtering.

New Feature: Receipt (Invoice Document Type)

A new document type called Receipt has been introduced in the invoicing module.

Purpose

The Receipt is designed for situations where the customer is a private individual (not a company) who does not require a formal accounting document. Instead, the Receipt serves as a simple acknowledgment that payment has been received.

Key Characteristics

  • Document Type: Receipt
  • Use Case: For office customers who are persons (non-business clients).
  • Accounting Requirements: No accounting validity, only for internal tracking.
  • System Behavior:
    • Marks the related project and services as paid.
    • Provides a simplified confirmation for the customer.
    • Does not generate accounting entries (unlike invoices).

Benefits

  • Simplifies handling of non-business customers.
  • Ensures all payments (including those without an invoice) are tracked in the system.
  • Keeps project financial status accurate and up to date.

Summary:
The Receipt document type is a lightweight alternative to invoices, used to mark services as paid when no formal accounting document is required.

1. Manage Service Types Overview

The Manage Service Types screen displays a list of all available service types in the system.

Features:
  • Search & Filter Options
    • Title – search by service type name.
    • Show Inactive – display service types that have been disabled.
    • Is Interpretation? – filter interpretation services.
    • Is Certification? – filter certification services.
    • No dependency of Language / Expertise – filter services not linked to specific languages or expertise.
  • Service Type List
    Each service type is displayed with the following details:
    • # – ID number
    • Title – service type name (e.g., Certified Translation, Proofreading)
    • Projects – number of projects linked to the service type
    • Total Services – number of services created
    • Invoices – number of invoices linked
    • Active – indicates whether the service is active (Yes/No)
  • Actions
    • Edit – open the service type details to modify.
    • Disable – deactivate the service type (it will remain in the system but won’t be selectable).
  • Add Service Type
    Click the “Add Service Type” button to create a new service type.

2. Edit Service Type

When creating or editing a service type, you are taken to the Edit Service Type screen.

Fields & Options:
  • Name
    The internal name of the service type (e.g., Certified Translation).
  • Is Interpretation?
    Check this if the service relates to interpretation (e.g., Consecutive, Simultaneous).
  • Is Reviewed?
    Marks the service as requiring a review process.
  • No dependency of Expertise?
    Enable this if the service does not depend on a specific area of expertise (e.g., general tasks).
  • No dependency of Language?
    Enable this if the service type is not linked to specific source/target languages (e.g., DTP, Transcription).
  • Is Certification?
    Marks the service type as a certification service (e.g., Apostille, Certified Translation).

  • Task Comment field renamed to Comments for vendor – cannot be edit by vendor.
  • Task new field Comments from vendor – edit by vendor.
  • New Report Payment Projections – how many invoices are paid/not paid for specific invoice due date period.
  • Customer List filters by Id and VAT number. Search by customer name , Id number and VAT number also seach in any customer profiles.
